Spice Village: “I love the Spice Village! It’s not far from Magnolia Market and a must-stop if you are shopping. It’s basically 20+ boutiques all in one so they’ve got all kinds of fun stuff including home decor, clothing, outdoor accents, and much more.”
Dr. Pepper Museum: “Dr. Pepper is one of the most delicious and sugary sweet symbols of Texas. This drink is loved by all the residents and tourists at Waco and it started from a 100 years old Dr. Pepper Museum which is the historical bottling building of downtown. This three-story building is worth exploring during your vacations. Dr. Pepper has now turned out to be a global soft drink and this is one of the best things you should try during your visit to Waco.”

Waco Tours: “This company will show you around Waco and all the things the city has to offer. You choose your tour: Classic Tour, River Cruise or a Private tour for your family or group. You get to see many Fixer Upper homes and visit the sites from the TV show that put Waco on the map. Most importantly, they have local crew who knows the city so well and loves what they are doing!”
Waco Suspension Bridge and Riverwalk Area
“This is a historic Suspension Bridge completed in 1870 and remains a legendary icon of downtown Waco. The bridge was built with a cable supplied by the John Roebling Co., who built the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City. It is worth checking! The Riverwalk includes approximately seven miles of multi-use, lighted trail that loops along both banks of the Brazos River. It stretches from Baylor University to Cameron Park and passes underneath the Suspension Bridge.”

“Waco Mammoth National Monument falls under the National Parks Service, so if you have a National Parks Passport, bring it along so you can collect your stamp. We spent about three hours at the Waco Mammoth National Monument while enjoying the natural habitats and honestly, we could have stayed longer. We had to pry our kids out of the dig pit. Pick up a Junior Ranger activity book (you can print one at home before heading to the site) to make it even more fun. Take the completed book with you to visit the Mayborn Museum (see #4) and the kids get in free!”
“The Texas Sports Hall of Fame is located on the campus of Baylor University. It’s a great place for people who love Texas sports. My kids loved the many hands-on activities. And there’s plenty of room to run around. There are exhibits dedicated to the Southeast Conference, high school football (hey, it is Texas! We’re all about our Friday night lights!) and to noteworthy Texas athletes of all types. There’s also an interactive children’s area with an electronic soccer game, jump ropes and other exhibits dedicated to youth physical fitness. The Texas Sports Hall of Fame is open Monday through Saturday from 9 to 5. There’s an admission fee, but active military members get in free.”
